Prince William Will Participate in UN Climate Conference in Brazil

Prince William will represent the COP30 climate summit in South America during November, as announced by the royal household.

Prince William and King Charles appeared together on Thursday night at a gathering ahead of the climate summit, which is planned for in the Amazonian city of Belem.

Father and son were present at the museum gathering, marking an noteworthy combined presence at a climate summit preparatory event arranged together with the UK government.

Environmental Advocacy Dedication

King Charles has been a consistent supporter of biodiversity preservation - and the Prince of Wales has taken on the baton, with his own climate innovation awards, which will be hosted in Rio preceding the climate conference.

Royal sources have portrayed William's involvement at the next COP as taking on an important role in "global climate discussions".

Previous Activities

The King and Prince of Wales, making a joint entrance in the official car, were introduced to attendees such as environmentalists, researchers, environmental activists, foreign representatives and government officials.

This involvement featured addresses together with French leader Macron of France and other global statesmen at the Ocean Finance Summit in the Principality of Monaco during the current year.

King Charles has been a influential participant at earlier environmental conferences, giving the opening address in the United Arab Emirates for COP28, including the observation: "We are custodians of the planet, not its owners".

"I have spent a substantial portion of my life trying to alert people to the existential threats facing us over planetary heating, global temperature increases and species extinction," the sovereign addressed participants.
