In a unexpected partnership that defies conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the official statement, "A strange confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of banned rituals and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine sect.

The mission focuses on "strange tests and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the adventure will receive an special katana alongside numerous items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
